Does anyone know?
ByIs there a system that can identify the caller ID by area code and route the call to a specific rep in the office without buying an entire call center software package? This needs to happen with no IVR recording in between so the call is answered live.





The Inter-tel can do this if I understand correctly.
Recognize an area code and transfer or route the call to an extension, hunt group or device. As long as the call comes in on a T1 or PRI, I believe, and you can capture Caller ID.
Can you tell me more? I am not familiar with who that is.

There are a lot of ways to do this, and most are not that expensive or complicated, but in most cases it is highly dependent on your phone system. Really the best place to start is whoever installed your phone system.
